Delicious Pork Steak, French Fries, Grilled Onions, Ketchup and Dill close up on green plate

Even though the dish is called Hawaiian chopped steak, we won’t use expensive steak cuts. It doesn’t make sense. Behind the sweetness, soy sauce, and other flavor components, you just won’t feel the difference between the steak and the cheaper parts of beef. Take the shoulder part or sirloin. We’ll marinate the meat in soy sauce, which will make it softer. We roast it with garlic and ginger, infusing it with bright flavors. Then we quickly stir-fry the vegetables, making sure they are lightly browned but still crispy. Finally, mix everything together in a sweet and sour sauce. Thanks to the starch in the sauce, it will make the dish glossy and appetizing.

  • Slice the meat into long thin strips and marinate in a mixture of sugar and soy sauce. Stir to combine. Leave for 20-60 minutes.
  • Prepare the sauce. Mix the starch, wine vinegar, and water. Stir until smooth.
  • Finely chop the garlic, peel the ginger and cut it into thin julienne strips. Set aside.
  • Peel and slice two onions into half rings. Cut the red bell peppers into long slices about 1 cm thick.
  • Drain off the excess marinade. You can add it to the sauce for a richer flavor. Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 10 seconds.
  • Add sliced beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring. Remove finished beef with a slotted skimmer and set it aside on a clean plate.
  • Add a little more oil and pour the onions into the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes, constantly stirring, until golden. Add bell peppers and cook for 1-2 minutes more.
  • Return beef to skillet, stir in vegetables and pour in the sauce. Cook stirring for 1-2 minutes more. Serve with boiled rice.

Note tips about how to cook chopped steak:

Chop steak is a versatile and delicious cut of meat that can be cooked in a variety of ways. Here are some tips on how to cook chop steak to perfection:

  • You should choose pure chopped beef steaks or pure chopped sirloin.
  • You can try the chopped steak with a gravy recipe to cook.
  • Season the steak with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices
  • You need to preheat your grill, broiler, or pan to medium-high heat.
  • Cook the steak for 3-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness, you shouldn’t cook so long.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before cutting into it; this will help to lock in the juices.
  • Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

What serves with chopped steak:

When it comes to steak, there are a lot of different ways to cook it. One popular way is to chop it up into small pieces and cook it that way. This method is popular in Hawaii and is often served with a variety of different sides. Some common sides that are served with chopped steak in Hawaii include rice, beans, and vegetables. These sides can help to round out the meal and make it more filling. Additionally, they can also help to absorb some of the flavors from the steak so that each bite is packed with flavor. If you’re looking for a complete meal, then serving chopped steak with a few sides is a great option. It’s also a good idea to have some dipping sauces on hand so that everyone can customize their own experience. Some popular sauces include soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and even just plain old ketchup.

Storage tips:

When it comes to storage, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

  • First, make sure to wrap your meat tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. This will help to keep it fresh and prevent freezer burn.
  • Second, label your meat so you know when it was frozen and how long it has been in the freezer. This is especially important for cooked meat, as you don’t want to eat something that has been sitting in the freezer for too long.
  • Finally, make sure to defrost your meat properly before cooking it. The best way to do this is to place it in the refrigerator overnight so it can thaw slowly and safely.

What to make with chopped steak:

There are many different ways that you can cook chopped steak.

  • One way is to fry it. You will need to season the meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Then, you will need to flour it and egg it. Fry it in a pan with olive oil until it is browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Another way to cook chopped steak is to make a Hawaiian recipe called “chop steak Hawaii.” This dish is made by marinating the meat in soy sauce, pineapple juice, and garlic.
  • Then, you will need to grill the meat on a charcoal grill. When the meat is cooked, it is served over rice with grilled pineapple slices on top.

Conclusion:

The best way to end a meal is with a sweet dessert, and this recipe for classic Hawaiian chop steak is no different. A simple yet delicious dish, it features thinly sliced steak that is pan-fried and then simmered in a teriyaki sauce. The final touch is a sprinkle of green onions for flavor and color. This recipe is easy to follow and yields great results every time. Whether you are serving it for a special occasion or just a family dinner, it is sure to please everyone at the table. Give it a try today and see for yourself!
