Cafe Latte Recipe | Small Recipe

This latte is for all fellow coffee drinkers. I love cafe lattes but buying them can be pricey. So here’s a recipe so you can make your own.

1 ⅓ cups hot freshly brewed dark roast espresso coffee

  • Heat milk in a saucepan set over medium-low heat. Whisk briskly with a wire whisk to create foam.
  • Brew espresso and pour into four cups. Pour in milk, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon foam over the top.

You know it and love it. Craft your own creamy and delicious caffè latte at home, featuring Starbucks® Espresso Roast.

1 oz Starbucks® Espresso Roast
1 cup whole milk
Milk frother, aerator or whisk
Sweetener of choice, such as vanilla syrup (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare espresso shot and pour into mug once brewed.
  • Stir in optional sweetener.
  • In a separate container, steam and froth milk until you have a light layer of foam. 
  • Gently pour the steamed milk into the brewed coffee while holding back the milk foam from glass. 
  • Top with the thin layer of milk foam remaining in the container. Enjoy. ​

Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 minute or until milk is hot and small bubbles form around edge of cup., Place a metal whisk in cup; whisk vigorously by holding whisk handle loosely between palms and quickly rubbing hands back and forth. Remove foam to a small measuring cup as it forms. Continue whisking until foam measures 1/8 to 1/4 cup; set aside., Pour Easy Espresso into a cup; pour in remaining hot milk. Spoon foam over top and serve immediately.

  • Add remainder of milk, whisking all the while. Add vanilla extract and sweetener if desired and stir.
  • Pour over ice and enjoy!
