Ingredients:
1 cup(s) margarine |
1 cup(s) brown sugar |
1 cup(s) white sugar |
2 large eggs |
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
2 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
2 1/2 cup(s) oatmeal |

1 teaspoon(s) salt |

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugars.
- Add in egg, one at a time, beating after every addition.
- Mix in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix together.
- Then slowly add into the margarine mixture. Add about a cup at a time, mix, then add another cup. Do this until it is all blended together. Mix in chocolate chips.
- Form dough into medium size balls. Place on cookie sheet covered with a Silpat or parchment paper.
- Bake for about 10 minutes.

- In a separate bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer.
- Add in one egg at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition and finish by adding in vanilla.
- Add and fold in oat blend into this mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Using a small ice cream scooper, form dough balls and place them onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper 1 to 2 inches apart from each other.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
